BBC Sport Football is a midweek simulcast of BBC Radio 5 Live, adding a ‘vidiprinter’. This is a visualization of the results of matches during a match and is broadcast from the 15 minutes before kick-off until the full-time whistle. The simulcast first featured a vidiprinter during the Premier League and Northern Ireland Premiership but did not include cups and cup competitions. The vidiprinter is also broadcast during the midweek final score of BBC Radio 5 Live. The vidiprinter is shown during the transmission of the simulcast and can be viewed in its entirety on the BBC website. The BBC produced a specially edited version of Pota Sports’ vidiprinter feed for BBC Sport Football.

In the previous season, the teleprinter was broadcast on the BBC Red Button for two hours before the game was broadcast on BBC One. From the 2002-03 season onwards, an extra half-hour of the match was broadcast live on BBC World News, a globally broadcast news channel. These broadcasts stopped following the 2015-16 season.

The BBC launched a midweek version of BBC Sport Football in November 2007. Although it is not an original programmer, it is a simulcast of BBC Radio Five Live with graphics and vidiprinter. BBC Local Radio commentaries were occasionally broadcast on the programmer but were removed when the BBC made the Red Button service a ‘single feed’ in October 2012. Midweek versions of BBC Sport Football are also shown when important European matches are played. This service is only available online and on Red Button.

BBC Sport’s football results programmer was previously known as Final Score. It was initially presented by Ray Stubbs and featured news and results from various sports, including tennis, cricket and racing. The football results service was previously known as Final Score, but in 2014, BBC regained the rights to the FA Cup. As the competition’s focus, the service changed. Now, tele printer results are broadcast, and critical incidents from the day’s games are shown along with updates from other domestic competitions—the show’s new graphic design ties in with the BBC’s rebrand.

The program covers the Premier League, Scottish Premier League and Welsh Premier League. As well as broadcasting the results on BBC Sport, the show also provides league tables. The first half-hour of the programmer is available on the BBC Red Button, and the second half-hour is broadcast on BBC World News, a worldwide news channel. However, the BBC World News programmer has discontinued its broadcasts from the 2015-16 season. Until recently, Final Score was broadcast on BBC Radio Lancashire, where the programmer is known as “Mikey West”.
